We got into Houston Wednesday night around 6:00 PM and spent two and a half days enjoying Stephen and Banks’ new house. Waiting for us at their house was our new camera so we could document our trip or forget to take pictures at all the important places.
Thursday was spent running errands to finish off our to-do list we failed to finish in New Orleans. We went to Verizon, Chase, and then Target. We got to see our first dumpster fire as we were leaving Target; it did not smell very good. Yuck! We then came back to my brother’s house for a nice home cooked meal of pork chops, sweet potatoes, and brussels sprouts. Later that night, we met up with our friend Thomas who took us to a dive bar called Lola’s Depot. Although he said it was 8 blocks away, we ended up walking two miles.
Friday morning we woke up and went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, but upon learning it was $20 per person to get in, we left. We searched for a back-up plan and found a free boat ride for two! We drove to the Port of Houston and took a 97 foot boat around the port. It was the biggest boat Stephanie has ever been on!

On the way home we stopped at a burger joint called Hub Cap Grill where Stephanie got a Cheetos burger.
Later that night, we met up with my brother’s friend Brett and went to a super hip club called Uchi. But they were too hip to let me in with shorts on, so we went to a gay bar called Boheme where we met our friend Thomas and his girlfriend KJ. After some cocktails, we took an Uber to a bar that can only be described as a Palms for gay Persians.
Stephanie wasn’t feeling the vibe so we decided to call it a night. We got home and had a late night Taco Bell run before passing out. When we groggily woke up in the morning, we packed up our car and made crepes for Stephen and Banks. After a filling meal of crepes, which I ate more of than Stephen, we went and picked up Lady Gaga and hit the road. Stephanie wasn’t the best at giving directions and we had to brake suddenly to make our turn. This caused Gaga to jump into her litter box for safety.
We encountered some traffic, but we made to Dallas by 6 PM. First stop down, 20 something more!
